somehow reassuring!  Things we think we can't do are only things we haven't yet
learned to do!  So we keep practicing new painting techniques, and pay attention
to what works, and what doesn't.  Pretty soon, the "what works" part becomes a
success to draw upon and to use in your paintings with ease. Lo and behold, we
discover it's do-able after all!  Don't get discouraged, just keep painting, learn
from each new painting experience, and enjoy the journey.  Each step is a step
